What is a Country Club Community?
When hundreds of homes are in a community that has one or more private golf courses; a club house with dining facilities; extensive fitness, tennis and swimming facilities; and has manned guard gate security – it’s referred to as a “country club community”.
It can be a community of just single family homes or it can have a mix of condos, villas, townhouses, coach homes, garden apartments, and single family homes.
Most of these clubs require mandatory membership and these equity memberships range from just social activity participation to tennis or golf or any combination. There are some clubs that permit buyers to purchase a property and not join the club.
I often tell my clients that living in and belonging to a club is like living at a resort with all activity options open to you…and you always have the option to doing your own thing.
